Innocent III
Termin Innocent III jest wymieniony w angielskojęzycznej Wikipedii. W tamtej wersji językowej występuje pod nazwą:

Pope Innocent III (Latin: Innocentius III; 1160 or 1161 – 16 July 1216) was Pope from 8 January 1198 to his death in 1216. His birth name was Lotario dei Conti di Segni, sometimes anglicised to Lothar of Segni.
Pope Innocent was one of the most powerful and influential popes. He exerted a wide influence over the Christian regimes of Europe, claiming supremacy over all of Europe's kings. Pope Innocent was central in supporting the Catholic Church's reforms of ecclesiastical affairs through his decretals and the Fourth Lateran Council. This resulted in a considerable refinement of Western canon law. Pope Innocent is notable for using interdict and other censures to compel princes to obey his decisions, although these measures were not uniformly successful. Innocent called for Christian crusades against Muslim rulers in Spain and the Holy Land and against heretics in southern France (Albigensian Crusade). One of Pope Innocent's most critical decisions was organizing the Fourth Crusade. Originally intended to attack Jerusalem through Egypt, a series of unforeseen circumstances led the crusaders to Constantinople, where they ultimately attacked and sacked the city (1204). Innocent reluctantly accepted this result, seeing it as the will of God to reunite the Greek and Latin churches, but it poisoned relations between the two churches.

Rebuild My Church: The Dream of Pope Innocent | Peace, Love, and Joy

Fr Ray Blake's Blog: Innocent III: I want!
I Googled "Innocent III" looking for the origins of the picture of him in the post below, for Dr Peter Wright, I couldn't find it, in few minutes I had spare but I did find the Innocent III action toy armed a with a bull of Excomunication. It is only $4.99 for a set of two "with removable Pope hat!"If the website suddenly sees a rise in sales through advertising here, maybe they could send me one.I would love it, though it lacks the ears of the original, every Catholic home schooled child should have one. Here is what the advertisng says is says: Introduce this Pope Innocent III Action Figure to your other figures and watch the spiritual sparks fly! Armed with his formidable power of excommunication and an intimidating scroll inscribed with Latin text, this 6″ tall, hard plastic model of the 176th Pope will soon have all your other action figures lining up for confession. Read the back of the illustrated blistercard and you’ll find that Pope Innocent III was a good guy in all respects.

Thoughts of Francis Turretin: Innocent III vs. Benedict XVI -- Use Scripture as Your Standard Instead
"Here I wish to affirm once more that religion can never justify intolerance or war. We cannot kill in God's name!" (Benedict XVI, Verbum Domini, Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation, September 30, 2010, Part 3)Desiring with an ardent desire to liberate the Holy Land from the hands of the ungodly, we decree with the advice of prudent men who are fully familiar with the circumstances of the times, and with the approval of the council, that all who have taken the cross and have decided to cross the sea, hold themselves so prepared that they may, on June 1 of the year after next (1217), come together in the Kingdom of Sicily, some at Brundusium and others at Messana, where, God willing, we [the Pope, Innocent III] will be present personally to order and to bestow on the Christian army the divine and Apostolic blessing.Holy Land Decrees of the Fourth Council of the Lateran (source for translation)Everybody knows that popes only extremely rarely exercise their alleged power of infallibility.
